We went to Saco to see Erik play. Took lots of pictures that were mostly mediocre at best. Even on the sports setting a lot of the pictures are not really sharp. Must be doing something wrong here.
We were so busy cooking and eating that we forgot to take enough pictures. This gives you an idea however on Thanksgiving dinner 2009. Hope all of yours was wonderful also!
I haven't put up any pages lately because I have been working on albums for two different people. One is now done and the other nearly so. I very seldom go out for a walk without my tiny Nikon in my pocket in case I see something interesting to photograph. One person's interesting is another's boring.
This was so much fun. I hadn't been to any kind of Track Meet in years. The Spies twins are Juniors in High School. Alex was my confirmand when he was in the 8th grade and I have kept an eye on his doings ever since. Kate is the journalist and has quite a few articles published in the local paper.
This bridge is only one of 7 left in the state of Maine and it has not been used for vehicle traffic in years since a new one was built just upstream from this one. I had fun taking pictures from various angles. What a wonderful birthday I had!
These four pages are all of Screw Auger Falls in northwestern Maine. I had never been there so of course neither had Homer. Off we went for my birthday day away while Mary stayed with Dad. WE had a wonderful day!
That's the name of the orchid plant. It is gorgeous and the picture can't do it justice. Putting it next to the door for the photo shows how big it is.
This plant attracted hummingbirds all summer long. The photo on this page was taken on Sept 24 . It probably won't have time to get much bigger than this now that there is a chance of frost over the weekend.
We had a great time on the Pink Lady out of Boothbay Harbor last month. The boat was about 100 feet long and held 149 people. The afternoon that we were on it I guess there were about 80 people.
Part of our July Staycation was a trip along the shoreline. Had a late lunch in Kennebunkport at Federal Jacks thanks to a gift certificate from Bruce and Fran. Turned out to be a great day after a foggy rainy start.
I did this page a few days ago but forgot to post it. It was the first real summer day we had had so far so we sat on the porch and just vegetated most of the day!
