The Birthday boy

Christmas at our house 2011

Mini Landscapes

Why do you suppose.......

I looked at the name on the stone and the dates... not a child, must be someone who really did Halloween in a big way, or maybe was a farmer and these were scarecrows he used. Interesting.

The Nubble Lighthouse

To give you an example of how nuts photographers are, the leader of the field trip slipped on the rocks and fell partly in to a hole in the rocks. Not wanting to ruin the day for the people who had come on the trip, he never mentioned the accident to anyone and no one had seen him fall. He took some wonderful pictures and as they were leaving the site (they had come in 2 vans) he did ask for help in loading up his stuff and asking that they take him to the emergency room back in Brunswick. He had a broken bone in his arm and a broken rib, plus many bruises. What an excursion for him! Homer had come with me and was content to sit in the car and watch all us crazies run around with our tripods and cameras to get the best shot possible.

Sts Peter and Paul Basilica

Trying out some shots in black and white. I think I like color better most of the time.

Long weekend in New Hampshire

We had a lovely weekend at Mary's. The weather was unreal, a last taste of summer. These are but the first pages of a great mini trip for my 74th birthday. Enjoy.

River Road Fence

I bet I have driven by this fence next to a house on River Road a hundred times and said to my self "Self, you need to stop and take a picture!" Well, I finally did and here is one of the ones I took this week.

Looks like I have to work on the tripod shots!

Full Moon over Rangeley

Shucking Corn

Mary and I had a couple drinks before we started to fix this corn. With my arthritic hands, I could barely do it at all. Emily thought we were pretty funny.

Lovin It

Since I am always behind the camera, this time I had everyone taking their best shot at me and put them all together on this page.
